If we have any chance of survival, we must make the most of our resources and remaining strength. The president has already declared a state of emergency. We must use stay ahead by any means necessary. First off, we sell areas of land and even whole states to billionaires which once profited from our great nation. This obviously threatens national security and throws human rights into the air, but given the circumstances the US stands to gain 15 trillion dollars whilst withholding all military assets. Once the government has regained its strength, it may even be possible to "re-integrate" sectioned off states.

"We drew up a list of the most valuable states after the blast. Texas was badly damaged and irradiated in the aftermath, ruining its natural potential to grow vegetation and grain. This goes for all the states in central America.
The most valuable states are along the coast. California, Nevada, Philadelphia, Florida, Rhode Island. The earnings from these states alone should allow the US government to recoup enough funds to develop new essential infrastructure, such as radiation-proof trains for trade and transport. Reuniting America once more."
